Caroline Bastholm is leaving her position as Secretary General

After 5 years as Secretary General of Engineers Without Borders Sweden, Caroline Bastholm is leaving her position. Caroline has been instrumental in shaping the organization in her role as Secretary General and in previous volunteer based positions.

“After over a decade in various positions within the organization, most recently as Secretary General, it is with a mix of feelings that I am now leaving my position at EWB-SWE. Taking part in the development of the organization has been an amazing journey and I am proud of what we have achieved”

“The impact of our work on the communities we engage with is what ultimately defines our success. To support our community of engaged volunteers to transform their knowledge and time into social impact has been a truly rewarding experience. The time has now come for me to step aside, and let someone else take over the responsibility of realizing our purpose and increasing the impact of EWB-SWE even further. I will certainly miss the close collaboration with volunteers, staff, partner organizations and corporate partners, and wish you all the very best and impactful future with EWB-SWE.”

Caroline will leave in December for her new role within the Power Africa team at Sida. The process of appointing a new Secretary General has already started. The role will play a crucial part in realizing the new strategy, working alongside with the staff team, trustees, members, partners and collaborators.
